We had our honeymoon here. Amazing experience, the hotel is situated in a less windy part of the island which is a major plus, the food was great @ all the restaurants and room service, the shampoos & lotions in the rooms are from their spa line...and on that note the Spa Grande is a must. Pick this place you won't be disappointed maybe a little broke but its well worth it and there are some cheaper spots to eat and drink within walking distance. Enjoy!

We loved The Grand Weilea. The rooms were very nice and we had a nice view. The grounds are beautiful. The spa was unbelievable! The prices rank up there with other hotels, but with your spa treatment, you get the free hydrotherapy. Many different pools to sit in, like a mud bath or a seaweed. Someone comes for you to receive a loofah exfoliating scrub. The massages were great. Just be careful which massage that you receive, b/c I got a "sports massage", but it was different than what I usually get. Ask what each massage entails, so you are not disappointed. They also have quck facials and quick chair massages in the lobby shop. We only ate at the hotel in the cafe for breakfast. The other restaurants were either permanently closed (Taramusi) or closed too early. The big restuarant, overlooking the pool only served breakfast. The pool restaurant and inside bar served until 5. Everything including the pools were shut down way too early. If I had kids with me, I would have been extremely angry. They only had one restaurant (Humu) opened, which was nice and surrounded by a fish pond. Good food. We had better luck walking the beach path to the 4Seasons and had a romantic dinner on the beach at Ferraro's and another dinner at Spago's. Or in the other direction, there was the Shops at Wailea, where we had dinner at Tommy Bahama's and Cheese Burger. Luckily, everything was very close and walking distance. Of course all the food prices are very expensive ($48-52 per plate). Only complaint was the lack of food in the hotel after 5. You just expect a lot of restaurants to choose from while in this beautiful hotel. Great fitness center.

Just returned from a 2 week stay in Hawaii. One week was spent in Maui with our stay being split between the Four Seasons ;3 Nights; and Grand Wailea ;4 nights; The hotel lobby is impressive. The rooms are nice but the house keeping is lacking. This is a Mega resort, with over 780 rooms. Our issue with the hotel was the lack of services for the price paid to stay here. Be prepared to pay extra for everything, valet parking even though you pay 25 service fee for self parking/internet/fitness club per day. Water in the room extra, kids club 124 per child per day extra, open the door to an adjoining room $, Rent a Cabana 250 per day ;the most expensive on Maui; Check out is 11 am. Other resort offer hospitality rooms for guest to use. GW has only 1. Self parking is 2 blocks away. Be prepared to stand in line for towels for the pool. Pool staff is nasty. Beach chairs are on literally right on top of one another. We went for the pool for the kids, save your money, the beaches in Maui are gorgeous go there. If you want a top notch resort stay at the 4 Seasons next door. Everything is included and the service amazing.
